The Ground

One of only two turf farms in West Virginia

The Ware family has farmed this part of Jefferson County for seven generations and better than 200 years. Turfgrass is the current crop, but the ground is a lot older than the business.

Kearneysville sits in the Eastern Panhandle, which puts us within easy reach of a surprisingly large area. Martinsburg and Charles Town are minutes away. Hagerstown and Winchester are short runs. Frederick, Leesburg and the whole of Loudoun County are comfortably inside our standard delivery radius.

That location is why a farm this size can serve four states without the sod ever spending long enough on a truck to matter.
